About us
Behavioural Ecology and Conservation Lab
Welcome to the Behavioural Ecology and Conservation Lab in the School of Life and Environmental Sciences at the University of Sydney. Led by Professor Peter Banks and Dr Catherine Price, we aim to develop innovative ecologically-based solutions to conservation problems.
Our research is focused across five main areas:
- Olfactory misinformation to protect wildlife
- Olfactory misinformation in agriculture
- Behavioural ecology of alien species
- Naiveté in predator-prey interactions
- Urban ecology
We work on a range of species and undertake fieldwork across Australia in a variety of environments.
We encourage students interested in joining our lab to get in touch to discuss current opportunities.
